Ms Gül Yüksel is a political scientist and a project coordinator with experience working with and coordinating multidisciplinary, multinational, multicultural teams and partners from civil society, public and private sectors.
Ms Yüksel has completed her BA degree in Politics and French Studies from the University of Witwatersrand, in South Africa, where she was awarded the French Government Prize for best student in their final year.
During the same years, she participated in the monitoring and evaluation efforts of the impact of xenophobicattacks in South Africa as well as the preparation of a human rights monitoring handbook for sub-Saharan Africa and the organization of workshops for international (sub-Saharan) human rights defenders.
Since completing her MSc in Middle East Politics at SOAS, UK, Ms Yüksel has collaborated with various private and public partners as a researcher and analyst and took part in multiple EU funded international and local civil society projects as national project coordinator. Her role as project coordinator involved research, policy analysis, monitoring and evaluation, collaborating with national and international partners and stakeholders and advocating for better policies and practice at the international level, as well as consulting and capacity building for local organizations, organizing learning environments for skills development and alliance building, networking and exchanging good practices.
Ms Yüksel is fluent in Turkish and English.
